The Shock

Hey guys,

Hope you had a great weekend! My weekend was really chill and I did other thing than studying haha

On Friday, I was in city just walking around and as I was passing KICKS, when I suddenly stopped and saw the gondola for Black Opium the Floral Shock. It was my last project before ending my internship at Yves Saint Laurent (L’Oréal), it felt really nice to see the final result in the shop so I went inside to look. Well it ended up with me buying the stuff haha but hey sometimes we need to spoil ourselves right?

First let me say that YSL The Shock mascara is my new favorite, it’s just amazing. I’m not just saying this to “promote” the product but I have tried few mascara from different brands during my time at L’Oréal and this is the best one yet. It is easy to apply, it really brings out your eyes and add volume, most importantly it’s easy to remove. As for the fragrance, if you like the “Black Opium family” then you going to love this one as well! Yes, YSL is more pricey brand since it’s more “exclusive” and luxurious but The Shock mascara is more towards Millennials and is “cheaper” than other YSL mascara.

Yesterday, I met up with two friends from high school, we decided to have dinner and watch La la land at the movies (the VIP saloon). It felt really luxurious with the leather seats and everything, I mean you paid almost $7 extra… Ok I just wanted to try it out and yes it was spacious and comfy but I won’t do this every time I see a movie ! However, I really liked the movie and was drooling over the handsome Ryan Gossling haha!

Have you seen La la land? Did you like?

Pink Elephant in the room

Monday, monday… please let me sleep five more minutes, pretty please!

The day started quite early for me with classes about qualitative methods and study! Being a Master´s student this was just a repetition of previous papers but since I’m writing my thesis this semester it’s important to keep the mind updated so I don’t choke! The class was ok though but I was more excited about the afternoon since my thesis partner and I had a meeting with GLOSSYBOX regarding our paper so we took the train to Stockholm.

We arrived to the office and was warmly welcomed by a giant pink elephant and the GLOSSYBOX staff, they were so nice. The girls who we had meeting with showed us around and I totally loved their cute office with the pink/white/girly details. I think I loved their “showroom/studio” the most.

The meeting went really well and we are going to do a case study of the company. I will not go into details but I’m really excited even though we have to work hard to write an academic paper related to theories!

I want to say a big thank you to GLOSSYBOX for giving us a “trial” box to get the customer experience, which will be cool to analyse. I will write a separate post about GLOSSYBOX and their concept!
